In his 1910 The Science of Getting Rich Wallace D. Wattles espoused similar principles — that simply believing in the object of your desire and focusing on it will lead to that object or goal being realized on the material plane (Wattles claims in the Preface and later chapters of this book that his premise stems from the monistic Hindu view that God provides everything and can deliver what we focus on). The book also claims negative thinking will manifest negative results.
One of my clients came into our meeting one day, with a big smile, and said, “I have a new husband!” I had just seen her two weeks before and I knew she wasn’t divorcing, although she was unhappy. So I asked, “What’s up?” And she explained that she had taken my suggestion to begin to appreciate her husband. She thought about what she loved about him, she appreciated the little things he did and she remembered why she married him. She changed her vibration to see him as someone she loved rather than someone who annoyed her. As she focused on those things, those became the things she saw the most in him. The way to fix a relationship is to focus on feeling the feelings we want to have in that relationship. Then we change our expectation and our point of attraction.
You may desire to succeed in a certain line of work; we will say, in the literary field. If your desire for success in that field is full and persistent, the power of that desire will constantly increase the life, the activity and the capacity of your literary faculties, and you will naturally do better work in that field. The same is true with regard to any other line of work, because your desire for greater success in your work will arouse to fuller action those faculties that you employ in that work. But, in every case, the desire must be deep, whole-souled, persistent and strong. It is therefore evident that results in all lines of endeavour depend very largely upon the power of desire, and that no one can afford to let their desires lag for a moment.

Develop an unflappable belief. Very likely you haven’t manifested what you desire because deep down you don’t believe that it could be yours. This is absolutely common and there is nothing bad about it. Nevertheless, if you lack the belief that it can be yours then it CANNOT manifest. With your disbelief you block the manifestation. Let’s say that you have a clear vision with strong desire but you don’t believe that it could happen for you. Then what happens is like saying; ‘’Actually, I cannot have it. I don’t believe that it can be mine.” The Universe responds; “so be it”. Why don’t you believe that it can be yours? Dig deep within yourself to find out what you belief is and then work on changing it.

This Full Moon is in a tight square with Lunar Nodes which marks the halfway point between the last series of eclipses this past summer and the next series of eclipses in January. The Lunar Nodes are karmic points in astrology and considering that this lunation is aligned with Uranus with Taurus’ ruler Venus in retrograde motion, this Full Moon is very significant which could mark a turning point or significant changes for many people.
LOA is one of those things that just baffles me as to why people buy into it. It literally amounts to nothing more substantial than, "Close your eyes, cross your fingers, and wish on a star, then alllllll your dreams will come truuuuuue!" It survives on the average person's ignorance of advanced science and their tendency to assume that someone using big words and "sciencey-sounding" concepts must know what they're talking about.
Everything is energy. And when it comes to manifesting your desires, it’s important to remember that your reality is being sculpted on a moment by moment basis by your predominant energy and vibration. You can meditate, declutter your home, make sweet love, sing, pray, cook or laugh until you nearly want to pee your pants – these are all excellent ways to amp up your frequency so the Universe can deliver your goodies.
Before we begin to wish for an ideal, we must ask what that ideal is going to get when it comes. Coupled with our desire for the ideal, therefore, we must have an equally strong desire for the remaking of ourselves so that we may become equal to that ideal in every respect. If we want an ideal companion, we must not only wish for such a companion, but we must also desire the development of those qualities in ourselves that we know would make us agreeable to that companion. If we want a different environment we should wish for such an environment with all the life and soul we possess, and should at the same time wish for the increase of those powers in our own talents that can earn such an environment. If we want a better position we should desire such a position every minute and also desire that we may become more competent to fill it when it comes.
Your argument does not negate the law of attraction in fact it supports it from a different perspective…here is my initiation experience way back in the 97s…here i was in deep financial s..t no money..married to a man who held the strings to my life…and was forcebly trying to get me deported from his country…i escaped that reality daily within my inner world where all was good and possible..along the way i read people like schati dwayne..one day i saw an add in a magazine a contest to win a brand new toshiba computer..but alas it was only available to us residents…which i was not..my desire kicked in..i really wanted it a brand new computer..i put down the magazine and closed my eyes and visualized myself flowing upward to a place where this computer floated around the ethers and immagined myself grasping it and bringing it back to me…that was it this whole excersise i am describing as i remember it because it was not a conciouse event just a day dream and then it was gone..forgotten..exept for the reality that three months later my son came to visit and brought some newly found friends…whom as a gift for mom brought a brand new toshiba computer…flash back to my day dream…so dont know if that was working according to the law of attraction or the power of visualization…what ever it was it made a believer an practioner out of me…that toshiba gave birth to a multimillion dollar domain name business…thank you for allowing me to share my story.

I'm 76. I became interested in mental phenomena when I was 13 and suffering from ADD. ADD didn't exist in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders back then, but I knew something was wrong. I subscribed to Popular Mechanics and Popular Science and was attracted to the various sciences. An article in one of those magazines described mental practices of Eastern religions and the unusual effects their practitioners could exhibit. I tried one of the techniques described and over the next several months my life changed. I weighed 89 lbs. My neck was so skinny my mother wondered how it could hold my head up. I was sickly and stayed in bed most of the day. I couldn't understand my schoolwork and was failing. After practicing this technique, I developed an eidetic memory, got great grades without much study, participated in the Science Fair, Soapbox Derby, and sports, and eventually grew to be 180 lbs. of solid muscle from weight lifting, surfing, and other activities. I had girl friends, went to parties, and had a life that scrawny kid of 13 could never have imagined. I didn't "try" to obtain these things. They simply happened. I was "led" from one thing to another. Opportunities "popped up" from nowhere. I accepted them as a normal part of growing up, but it wasn't normal. My few nerd friends never had them. That experience prompted me to dig deeper. I read all of Erickson's abstracts in college and studied the Akashic Records and other religious systems. I read Emerson, Atkinson, and everyone I could get my hands on. I studied quantum mechanics as far as I could take it over two years. I have books on consciousness and the mind that are over 140 years old. I stopped playing in this game while in the military. When I was discharged, I had nothing - a useless degree in Psychology, no job skills, no anything. I went back to the meditation techniques I learned in high school and my life changed again. I developed my own version of this book, one that worked specifically for me. There are some core elements to this book that I believe form the basis for all systems that purport to produce the effects of the Laws of Attraction. I disagree with the spiritual aspects. My system is mechanical: you do this, you get that. But they are similar enough that this book works. My studies in quantum mechanics only bolstered my confidence in the system. Whether you believe in the Copenhagen Interpretation or the many-worlds interpretation, or some superpositional entity outside of space/time that governs existence, this system works. It is EXTREMELY important to stop believing in things you CAN'T do. Read that again - and again. Belief is a killer. There are other aspects of this book that I support. I started with nothing in 1978 except for these concepts. I retired in 1986 and again in 1990 when a business I started as a hobby developed into a national company - totally free of any financial problems. I have no special abilities. I have no special education. I had no special training. I'm just a guy, but a guy who understands how this works and used my version of it. I don't do this anymore. I've wondered why and I think I have some limiting function that makes it unnecessary. There is nothing I want that I don't have except for one thing: my kids don't understand these concepts and have not interest in learning them. Too bad. The one thing I could never do with these concepts was to influence people directly. I have a theory about that, but enough for now. Why are you reading this? Think about it.
It’s not enough just to say your affirmations or create a vision board and hope for the best. The universe speaks the language of emotions. So even if you are affirming “I am rich and successful,” you have to feel it for it to make a difference. To call in an experience you actually want to have, start to cultivate the emotion of the experience as if it were already real, already happening.
