Hi Toni! Tough question! Focus on holding that feeling of love in your heart. (Because it always starts inside of you, not with the other person!) Then keep on striving to become the kind of person you think you’d be if you were still in that relationship. (It’s all about attracting them back, not chasing them down!) But of course, we can only ever control our own energy and vibration (not the other person) so just focus on doing what you can! Good luck! 💜
I understand your scepticism about the LOA as I am someone who is open minded about it. However, I kind of lost confidence in your arguments when you started to present basic premises about the LOA incorrectly. For example, the primary focus of the law of attraction is not about material wealth. It is about self development, self love and the journey to self completeness within the context of mindfulness and positive thinking. This is a premise that is widely used within peer researched clinical therapies as well as many religions. Proponents of the law of attraction do not campaign for everyone to achieve selfish material gain and wealth. I have not heard or read anyone, no matter what level in their LOA journey that they are at. Their point is about the power of a positive mindset, a principle I am very much a supporter of and as I said, this is not unique to the LOA.
Think of it as a radio signal. As you scan through the radio, in-between stations fight for a signal. Most people are pretty familiar with this experience. The two stations compete and occasionally you’ll hear one song and then parts of a different song start to edge in. You’ll notice that neither station comes in perfectly crisp and clear. In the same manner, when you experience doubt or fear, those thoughts and feelings interrupt and compete with your desires.
I really enjoy reading your posts and learning about opening up to deep and fulfilling love. After heart shattering loss over the course of the last two years I am now in the process of putting myself back together again. It’s still pretty messy but I really want to learn to love myself and be the best version of myself, for me and for my soulmate who I know is out there waiting for me to be ready for forever.
With all of this differentiation comes a wide-ranging approach to one common theme that binds us all: money. Money, in fact, is simply a story. It’s the most successful story that humanity has ever created. Beyond the invention of language, which enabled communication, money has enabled commerce, and has moved us beyond merely bartering for, and exchanging goods and services as we once solely did ages ago.
While the Law of Attraction is getting quite a bit of publicity these days, the concept has been around for centuries and has been known — and used successfully — by great minds throughout history. According to books like The Secret, there’s evidence that the law of attraction was used by Beethoven, Einstein, and even Jesus, but you’ve also used it in your own life whether you’re aware of it or not! This is because the Law of Attraction works whether or not you’re aware of it. The main reason for the current focus on it is that if you’re aware that you're using the Law of Attraction, you can control what you attract into your life.
Let me break down the idea of “control.” Be open to the idea of trying new things and challenging yourself to experience these new things. Let’s say online dating scares you… Well now it’s time to try it, and stop controlling outcomes in your life that feel safe to you but are holding you back. You know they might be things that you need to deal with and face, or aspects in life that you need to try. I am not saying you need to give up control of the things that keep you safe in life. I’m talking about the complete opposite: The ways that you hold yourself back.
Nice article and thanks for the sharing. What i have learn from law of attraction in my business is Most of the time, failure in people is basically a subconscious acceptance of negative Declarative Statements. For example, saying things like, “My money always goes out faster than it comes in”, or, “Business is good only around special occasions,” are negative statements. Anything that makes you feel bad or say something negative about yourself or your business is a negative Declarative Statement. The Law of Attraction will attract anything that you pay attention to. Stick to the positive and you will attract the positive. Keep thinking about the negative and that is all you will attract. The Law of Attraction does not care whether you want something or not or whether it will be good for you or not. It simple takes your current mood or feeling and goes ahead with it.
As I mentioned earlier, our soulmates frequently come into our lives to help us heal our deepest emotional wounds, and we come into their lives to help them do the same. For some people, this may at first look like some form of ‘Crazy, Stupid Love’, or a relationship that appears to bring out the worst both in you and your partner. These are the kind of relationships where people break up several times but over time have a tendency to find their balance as deep healing begins to take place and eventually grow into ‘Soulmate Love’.
For me, I found ways to make myself feel more loved by taking the time to work on my self love. I found the places in my life where I already felt supported and taken care of. I started taking myself out to artsy shows and museums. I ate a lot of Thai food. I practiced staying true to myself. Well, I sure didn't wrestle myself, but I did imagine wrestling him from time to time. I took the time to practice more self compassion and understand myself. I found lots of ways to laugh more.
If you don’t have clarity on what you do want, you’ll likely end up repeating the same relationships with the same personalities and the same faults. What do you miss most about your past partners? Surely there were some traits you found attractive, take those bits from each person and put them together. And don’t forget to read my previous article about preparing yourself for your next relationship along the way!
A favorite Abraham-Hicks’ quote of mine is “a belief is just a thought you keep thinking.” What does that tell us? That beliefs can and do change. But knowledge, understood as an evidence-based understanding of something, is unwavering. Well, maybe there’s more of an 80/20 rule about it. I mean, once upon a time we just knew the Earth was flat. Now, we know it’s not.
